When the clocks roll back, it’s more than just gaining an hour of sleep—it’s your cue for a seasonal reset, sis.  Let’s turn this time change into a moment of self-care that helps you fall back but move forward in your wellness.


 Daylight Savings Wind-Down Routine

As the days get shorter, our bodies crave more rest. Use this time to create a calming bedtime ritual:

  •       Dim your lights early.
  •       Put your phone down 30 minutes before bed.
  •       Sip a soothing herbal tea and stretch your body.

This helps your mind slow down and signals your body it’s time for deep rest—not just a nap.


Overnight Glow-Up: Sleep + Skincare Combo

Cooler nights can mean drier air, and that’s no friend to glowing melanin. Before you drift off:
  Apply a mineral-rich sleep mask (try Sephora’s Mineral Sleep Mask for a hydrating boost).
   Run a cool-mist humidifier (like this one from Amazon) to keep your skin and sinuses happy.
   Slip your head onto a satin pillowcase (available at Walmart)—because “Black don’t crack,” but sis, satin helps it stay that way.


Sunday Supper: One-Pot Turkey & Greens Soup

A comforting bowl that feeds your soul and supports your heart health:
Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey

  • 1 onion + 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth

  • 2 cups chopped collard or mustard greens

  • 1 sweet potato, diced

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt-free seasoning blend to taste

Directions:
Brown the turkey and onions, then add everything else and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve warm with a slice of whole-grain toast. Blood pressure–friendly and body-hugging comfort in one pot.
