Hello all you wonderful parents out there, There are moments in our lives that we must pay attention to our kids and what they need. I have been preoccupied lately and today my little one demanded my time come hell or high water... so, we read a book, played wofelball, indoor soccer, the hokie pokie, head-shoulders- knees-toes. I tell you the truth, I am terribly exhausted...WHEW!

Organized evenings

Caddy s help us keep organized during bedtime. We use these to keep all items used routinely at bedtime in close proximity to the bed. Lotion,lip balm, medicine, bottle water, comb and brush etc. This helps me to not have to get out of bed if I am already there and do not want to get up. Try it!

Back to school

It is almost time for school to start.  We are preparing for this 1st grade event by practicing our site words, writing our name, reading, and having spelling test over the site words given to me from the teacher.  I am so very proud of Morgan, she tells me that it is too easy... is it because we practice, or is it because she is just simply SMART. LOL!!!

Tip...try using your childs magnet leap frog alphabet letters to help them learn their sites words as they are starting to read.

I use my little ones letters on the fridge while I am cooking to give her a spelling test weekly this summer; so that she does not forget them.

This also helps her stay on track for her reading progress.

Kindergarten words: I, AM, SO , LOOK, LIKE, AND, SEE, MOM, DAD,YOU, A, DO, COME,

 Dick & Jane Books are great for identifying and learning thses words.
