"How Can You Create a Sacred Summer Self-Care Space at Home That Heals, Holds, and Honors You?"

Hey sis,

If there’s one thing I’ve learned this season of life, it’s this: we don’t have to escape to find peace—we can create it, right at home. This summer, I made it my mission to design a self-care space that feels sacred, sun-kissed, and soulful. Not just pretty—but purposeful.

Let me walk you through how to create your own Sacred Summer Self-Care Nook—a space where peace meets purpose, and your spirit can breathe.

1. Choose Your Corner With Intention

Start with a space that feels quiet, calm, and yours. It might be:

  • A sunny corner in your bedroom

  • A shaded part of your porch or balcony

  • A nook in your living room near a window

Trina’s Tip: Light and warmth matter. Natural sunlight can boost your mood, energy, and even your faith.

2. Add Comfort You Can Sink Into

Think pillows, throws, and seating that hug you back. Choose textures that feel soft on your skin and colors that soothe your soul—earth tones, sage green, warm ivory, or even a bold pop of mustard or melon.

3. Fill It With Soul-Soothing Elements

Your self-care space should engage all your senses:

  • Scent: light a candle, burn incense, or use essential oils like lavender, frankincense, or citrus

  • Sound: play a gospel playlist, ocean waves, or soft jazz

  • Touch: add a soft rug, velvet pillow, or cozy shawl

  • Sight: include framed affirmations, a scripture card, or art that reflects your essence

LTK Picks: Ceramic diffuser, candle trio set, and woven floor basket for cozy extras.

4. Keep Your Tools Within Reach

This is where peace meets practicality. Stock a tray or basket with:

  • Your favorite journal + pen

  • A Bible or devotional

  • A gratitude list

  • A book you’re currently loving

  • Herbal tea + water bottle

Mine includes “Jesus Calling,” my gratitude journal, a lemon mint tea blend, and a little handwritten note to myself that says “Be still.”

5. Let the Season Inspire the Style

Infuse your space with summer textures: woven baskets, fresh flowers, citrus bowls, linen accents, or even a floral-printed throw pillow.

Add something green—a potted plant or vase of eucalyptus—to remind you to breathe deep and stay rooted.

6. Use It Daily

Even if it’s just 10 minutes. Morning prayer. Afternoon journaling. Evening breathing. Your self-care space is your sanctuary.

Say it with me:

“This space is for me. My healing. My stillness. My glow.”

Final Thought

Creating a sacred self-care space isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence. This summer, give yourself the gift of a corner that feels like a warm hug, a whisper from God, and a safe place to just be.

You deserve peace on purpose.
Now go create it, sis.
